Efficacy of nux vomica 200C in allergic rhinitis: An observational case series of 30 patients

International Journal of Homoeopathic Sciences · 2025 · Vol. 9(3) · pp. 226–227

Abstract

Background: Allergic rhinitis is prevalent worldwide and conventional treatment is often symptomatic. Homeopathy offers individualized remedies like Nux vomica which may address underlying susceptibility. Objective: To assess the outcome of Nux vomica 200C in 30 cases of allergic rhinitis. Methods: 30 patients were treated with Nux vomica 200C based on individual totality of symptoms. Weekly follow-ups were done for 4 weeks. Results: 26 patients (86.7%) showed ≥50% reduction in sneezing, nasal discharge, and nasal obstruction scores. Conclusion: The findings suggest Nux vomica 200C may benefit allergic rhinitis patients matching its symptom profile. Further controlled trials are recommended.
