Effect of integrated nutrient management on the performance of green gram (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek) Under semi-arid condition

Abstract

The present investigation entitled “Effect of integrated nutrient management on the performance of green gram (Vigna radiata L. Wilczek) Under semi-arid Condition” was conducted at experimental farm, Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences, Mewar University Gangrar, Chittorgarh (Rajasthan) during Zaid, 2025, variety “Kopergaon‟ was used in this studyThe required quantities of fertilizers as per treatments were applied. The experiment was laid out in randomized block design with three replications consisting of nine treatments The data recorded maximum growth parameters like, plant height (25.4 cm, 41.6 cm, and 58.2 cm at 20, 40, and 60 DAS, respectively), Leaf number per plant (13.6, 25.1, and 33.4 at 20, 40, and 60 DAS), number of branches per plant (4.8 at 40 DAS and 5.9 at 60 DAS) and yield parameters like, number of pods per plant (35.2), number of seeds per pod (11.8), test weight (4.84 g), seed yield (1,229 kg ha⁻¹) stower yield (2,846 kg ha⁻¹) and maximum net return (₹39,240 ha⁻¹) and B:C ratio (2.14) was recorded with T7-75% RDF + Rhizobium @ 20g/kg seed + Phosphotika @ 20g/kg seed. The minimum growth and yield obtained with control treatment. Therefore, concluded that impact of integrated nutrient management on the growth and yield of the green gram. Among different treatments T7-75% RDF + Rhizobium @ 20g/kg seed + Phosphotika @ 20g/kg seed registered the maximum production with higher net return. So, it was concluded that the treatment T7-75% RDF + Rhizobium @ 20g/kg seed + Phosphotika @ 20g/kg seed superior among all treatments.
