Effect of hydrogel and nano DAP on growth and productivity of green gram (Vigna radiata L.) under Southern Rajasthan
Abstract
A field experiment entitled “Effect of Hydrogel and Nano DAP on Growth and Productivity of Green gram (Vigna radiata L.) under Southern Rajasthan” was carried out at Agronomy Instructional Farm, Rajasthan college of Agriculture, Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur during Kharif, 2024. The experiment was laid out in a split plot design with the hydrogel and nano DAP comprising three hydrogel (Control, hydrogel 10 kg ha-1 and hydrogel 20 kg ha-1) and seven nano DAP (Control, RDF 100%, RDF 100% + Nano DAP @ 2ml litre-1 at 30 DAS, RDF 75% + Nano DAP @ 2 ml litre-1 at 30 DAS, RDF 100% + Nano DAP @ 4 ml litre-1 at 30 DAS, RDF 75% + Nano DAP @ 4 ml litre-1 at 30 DAS and RDF 75%) treatments with three replications. The experimental results revealed that the maximum quantity of seed yield (1278 kg ha-1), haulm yield (2823 kg ha-1) and biological yield (4102 kg ha-1) were obtained under application of treatment H2 (Hydrogel 20 kg ha-1). In case of nano DAP treatments highest plant height, dry matter accumulation, seed yield (1214 kg ha-1), haulm yield (2758 kg ha-1) and biological yield (3972 kg ha-1) were obtained under treatment N4 (RDF 100% + Nano DAP @ 4 ml litre-1 at 30 DAS).
