Effect of post-harvest treatments on physical properties of Guava cv. Allahabad safeda

Abstract

The present investigation entitled “Effect of post-harvest treatments on physical properties of Guava cv. Allahabad safeda” was carried out at Fruit Science Laboratory, Pt. K.L.S. College of Horticulture and Research Station, Pendri, Rajnandgaon, Chhattishgarh during the year 2022-23. The experiment was laid out in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with seventeen treatments and three replications. The guava physical parameter was recorded significantly improved with post-harvest treatments, in case of physical parameter like minimum physiological loss in weight (10.33%), spoilage (6.93%), maximum pulp weight (80.00 gm), peel weight (7.99 gm), Fruit diameter (5.89 cm), Fruit length (5.10 cm), specific gravity (0.98 g/ml) were recorded with T9 (Ca(NO3)2 1%).
