Abstract

Soil conservation is a critical practice for ensuring sustainable agriculture by protecting and enhancing soil health, which directly influences crop yield and the long-term productivity of land. This review focuses on the impact of various soil conservation practices, such as crop rotation, no-till farming, and agroforestry, on both soil quality and crop productivity. The purpose of this review is to explore the effectiveness of different soil conservation techniques in mitigating soil degradation, improving soil fertility, and ensuring optimal crop yields. Key findings highlight the importance of integrating conservation practices into farming systems for improving soil structure, enhancing water retention, and fostering biodiversity, ultimately contributing to enhanced crop performance and sustainability in agriculture.
