Impact of integrated nutrient management on growth and yield of cabbage (Brassica oleracea L. var. capitata)

Abstract

The current investigation during autumn winter season 2024-2025 with the goal of the effect of organic fertilizers alone, effect of integrated nutrient management on growth and yield of cabbage. The experiment was laid out in RBD considering nine treatments with three replications. Different combination of treatment T1 Control, T2 Bio-fertilizers (PSB), T35 t Vermicompost /ha, T4 20t FYM/ha, T5 50% RDF (60:58:25 NPK), T6 50% RDF + Bio-fertilizers, T7 50% RDF + Vermicompost, T8 50% RDF + FYM, T9 75% RDF (90:87:38 NPK), T10 75% RDF + Bio-fertilizers, T11 75% RDF + Vermicompost, T12 75% RDF + FYM, T13 100% RDF (120: 115: 50 NPK).The results showed that application plant height 27.54, plant spread at maturity 51.24, Number of leaves 12.26, Leaf length 26.44, Leaf width 28.86, days required for 50% head initiation 38.88, days required for 100% head initiation 41.54, days required for head maturity 81.66, diameter of head 26.96, gross weight per head 1630.45, net weight per head 1130.45, yield per plot 32.25, benefit cost ratio (2.08) was observed with the treatment T11 75% RDF + Vermicompost.
