Abstract

Sustainable yield and crop performance are difficult to improve without balanced application of nutrients management practices. The integrated nutrient management (INM) strategies involved application of compost, green manure, cover crops, crop residues, Vermicompost, farm yard manure, biochar, sea weeds, oil cakes, rice straw and wheat straw. However, organic manure cannot synchronize the concentration requirement of okra cropdecades. Hence balanced integration of organic and inorganic fertilizers significantly improves the crop productivity and economics return to farmers and market. The INM strategy build-up the organic matter with improves performance and efficient management of water and nutrient uptake.
