Abstract

To achieve the purpose of the study, thirty (N=30) subjects were selected from the My life sports academy, Periyanaickenpalayam, Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu. The participants, aged 14 to 16 years, were divided into two groups: Experimental Group-I, consisting of fifteen male subjects who underwent basic conditioning workouts with soccer drills training for 8 weeks (5 days per week, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM), and Control Group-II, also consisting of fifteen male subjects who continued with their regular routines without additional training. The selected physical fitness variables for the study were speed, measured using 50m dash and agility, measured using 4X 10 Shuttle run and skill performance variables dribbling, passing and shooting, measured using mor-christian soccer test. After complete on six weeks of training, post-test data were collected, and both pre-test and post-test scores were analyzed using the dependent t-test to determine if there had been a significant, improvement. The level of confidence set at 0.05. The results revealed that the experimental group showed a significant improvement in speed, agility, dribbling, passing and shooting, due to the soccer drills training program. However, no significant changes were observed in the control group for the selected variables.
