Evaluate the productivity and quality parameters of Ber (Zizyphus mouritiana lamk.) Varieties under plain reason Bemetara District of Chhattisgarh

Abstract

The present investigation entitled “Evaluate the productivity and quality parameters of Ber (Zizyphus mouritiana lamk.) Varieties under plain reason Bemetara District of Chhattisgarh” was conducted at the Horticultural Research cum Instruction Farm, Revendra Singh Verma College of Agriculture & Research Station, Bemetara (C.G.). The experiment was laid out in randomize block design with three replications Performance of Nine Varieties i.e. Gola, Seb, Umran, Thar Sevika, Thar Bhuvraj, Illaichi, Banarasi Kakara, Panda & Banarasi Pebandi etc. No. of fruits/p, Fruit weight and size were maximum in Seb, Umran and Gola and minimum in Thar Sevika & Thar Bhuvraj. Total soluble solids, total sugar and vitamin C content were highest in Illaichi, & Seb with medium acidity and resulted better T.S.S./acid ratio. The cultivar seb & Banarasi Pebandi which yielded highest produced fruits of better weight and size with good T.S.S. and acid ratio resulting in excellent taste.
