International Journal of Advanced Biochemistry Research · 2025 · Vol. 9(6) · pp. 923–926

Abstract

The experiment was carried out at Agri-tourism centre, CCS HAU, Hisar (Haryana) during the year 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 to study the effect of Marigold-Tomato intercropping on the growth parameter of tomato. The experiment was laid out in Completely Randomized design (CRD) with 9 different treatments (T1 : Tomato intercropped with 1 row of French marigold, T2: Tomato intercropped with 2 rows of French marigold, T3: Tomato intercropped with 1 row of African marigold, T4:Tomato intercropped with 2 rows of African marigold, T5: Tomato intercropped with 1 row of bacteria treated French marigold, T6: Tomato intercropped with 2 rows of bacteria treated French marigold, T7: Tomato intercropped with 1 row of bacteria treated African marigold, T8:Tomato intercropped with 2 rows of bacteria treated African marigold and T9: Tomato alone). Among all the treatments T6: Tomato intercropped with 2 rows of bacteria treated French marigold was recorded with maximum tomato height 30 DAT and maximum number of leaves in tomato.
