Formulation and evaluation of natural cucumber cleanse refreshing facial soap: A novel approach for facial soap

Abstract

The demand for skincare products that harness the power of natural ingredients has witnessed a surge in recent years. In response to this trend, this study presents a novel approach to formulating and evaluating a facial soap enriched with natural cucumber extract. The research's objective is to create a refreshing facial soap that not only cleanses the skin but also rejuvenates and revitalizes it, offering a unique sensory experience. The formulation process involved carefully selecting and blending ingredients to optimize the beneficial properties of cucumber extract, known for its hydrating, soothing, and antioxidant-rich qualities. Various concentrations of cucumber extract were incorporated into the soap base to determine the most effective formulation in terms of skin cleansing efficacy and sensory attributes. The evaluation of the cucumber cleanse refreshing facial soap encompassed both objective and subjective assessments. Physicochemical tests were conducted to assess the soap's pH, moisture content, and stability, ensuring its quality and safety for use. Additionally, sensory evaluations were carried out to gauge consumer preferences regarding the soap's texture, fragrance, and overall sensory experience. Preliminary results indicate that the formulated facial soap offers promising benefits, including gentle cleansing, hydration, and a refreshing sensation upon application. Furthermore, sensory evaluations revealed positive feedback regarding the soap's appealing scent and luxurious texture, enhancing the overall user experience.
