Phytochemical and pharmacognostic studies of Leptadenia reticulata (Retz.) Wight & Arn

International Journal of Pharmacognosy and Life Science · 2025 · Vol. 6(1) · pp. 126–132

Abstract

Leptadenia reticulata, a medicinal plant widely recognized in traditional Ayurvedic systems, has been extensively studied for its phytochemical and pharmacognostic properties. This research aims to systematically evaluate the phytochemical and conduct a comprehensive pharmacognostic analysis of different parts of L. reticulata to support its ethnomedicinal claims and explore its potential for therapeutic applications. Pharmacognostic evaluation included macroscopic and microscopic analyses, powder microscopy, and physicochemical parameters, providing diagnostic features useful for identification and quality control.
