Abstract

Hypertrophic Lichen Planus (HLP) is a persistent skin disease involving inflammation and the formation of thick, itchy, wart-like purplish bumps and plaques, primarily on the lower legs. Several skin disorders with similar thickened appearances may have an underlying lichenoid tissue reaction when examined histologically. This case highlights important clinical and diagnostic aspects of HLP and distinguishes it from other similar conditions such as lichen simplex chronicus, hypertrophic lichen sclerosus, and squamous cell carcinoma. For accurate diagnosis, selecting the right biopsy method and site is crucial to reveal the specific histopathological characteristics of the condition. Patient attendant Out-Patient Department (OPD) come with the complaint of itchy purplish eruption on right leg. This is the case of 33 years old male patient treated by Homoeopathic constitutional medicine. Sulphur 200 single dose was prescribed on the basis of covering totality of symptoms followed by placebo for 15 days.
