Hydroponics and Aeroponics new emerging tool and technique in agriculture

Abstract

Nowadays, traditional soil-based agriculture is encountering various challenges, such as climate change, natural disasters, and declining soil fertility. In response, hydroponic farming is gaining global popularity due to its efficient use of resources and ability to produce high-quality food. This method has shown excellent results in vegetable cultivation. This article explores the advantages of hydroponic and aeroponic systems, such as shorter crop growth cycles compared to conventional soil farming, reduced risk of pests and diseases, and the elimination of many labor-intensive practices like weeding, spraying, and watering. It also discusses the different types of these systems, their limitations, and their potential for future development.
