Abstract
Background: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is highly significant for every corporation.In today's world, it has become essential for businesses to implement CSR practices.Companies are increasingly recognizing the importance of CSR, which is why they are contributing more to underdeveloped sectors by initiating various projects focused on social responsibility.Purpose: The study aims to ascertain the issues faced in implementing Rural development projects and the effect of corporate social responsibility on Jharkhand's rural development projects in the Khunti District. Methodology:The methodology employed in this study is an Exploratory research design.The main method of collecting data is a questionnaire.A sample size of 170 company personnel was taken as respondents for the study. Findings:The study finds that Indian businesses view social responsibility as a critical business concern regardless of size, industry, purpose, or location.Indian businesses are becoming aware that there cannot be stability and sustainability for conducting business to compete in the global market without the socio-economic development of the rural populations.Originality: The study shares insights on CSR practices in India that can help business entities to implement CSR initiatives more effectively in rural development projects.
