Incidence of radius fractures in dogs

Abstract
The present clinical study was conducted on dogs presented to department of Veterinary Clinical Complex, Veterinary College, Hassan during period of the study i.e September 2022 to August 2024. The higher incidence of long bone fractures was noted in femur (41.54%) and radius and ulna fractures accounted for 20.28 percent. Young dogs (0-6 months), male and non-descript dogs had higher incidence of radius and ulna fractures. Mid-diaphyseal transverse fractures were more common. Automobile accident was most common cause for radius and ulna fractures.
