Effect of a structured training intervention on short sprint performance and explosive strength

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the efficacy of a structured physical training protocol on 100 metre short sprint performance and three basic types of explosive strength level (leg, hand, and abdominal training) of 40 samples. The results of the pre and post test data was obtained, analysed, and interpreted statistically by using descriptive statistics, paired t-test and repeated measures ANOVA to find out the significance and magnitude of the changes among the variables. The descriptive analysis showed significant gains for sprint time as well as for all explosive strength measurements.
