International Journal of Research in Agronomy · 2024 · Vol. 7(11) · pp. 367–370

Abstract

The present investigation entitled “Effect of NPS compost and foliar spray of humic acid on yield and uptake of nutrients by brinjal” was conducted at Research farm, Department of Vegetable Science, Dr. PDKV, Akola during kharif season of 2023-2024. The objective of the experiment was to study the effect of NPS compost and foliar spray of humic acid on yield and nutrient uptake by brinjal. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with 9 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments comprised of foliar sprays of humic acid of concentration 0.5, 1 and 1.5% in combination with FYM and NPS compost along with the recommended dose of fertilizer. Among all treatments, T9 (100% RDF+ NPS compost @ 2.5 t ha-1+ 4 sprays of humic acid @1.5%) was found to give superior results. Significantly highest yield (fruit and straw yield) and nutrient uptake by plant was recorded with the application of this treatment.
