Effect of plant leaf aqueous extracts on plant Height & chlorophyll index in Rice-Wheat cropping system
Abstract
The present study, titled "Effect of plant leaf aqueous extracts on plant height & chlorophyll index in Rice-Wheat cropping system", was conducted at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, during the rabi seasons of 2021-2022 and 2022-2023.The experiment was designed in a Randomized Block Design (RBD) comprising 20 treatments with three replications each. The treatments included aqueous leaf extracts of Eucalyptus (5% and 10%), Neem (10% and 15%), and Guava (25% and 30%), along with herbicide applications at reduced dosages of 50% and 75%.The primary objective was to evaluate the efficacy of these botanical extracts, in combination with reduced herbicide dosages, on the morphological traits of wheat-specifically plant height and chlorophyll index-within the rice-wheat cropping system.
