International Journal of Agriculture and Food Science · 2025 · Vol. 7(5) · pp. 364–367

Abstract

Field experiments were conducted at the Student Instructional Farm, College of Agriculture, Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, during the Rabi seasons of 2022 23 and 2023-24 with three replications and seven treatments of Biopesticides and one control against Aphis craccivora (Koch.). Different treatments were T1 (Metarhizium anisopliae 5 g/l), T2 (Beauveria bassiana 5 g/l), T3 (Verticillium lacanii 5 g/l), T4 (Emamectin benzoate 1 g/l), T5 (Azadirachtin 5 ml/l), T6 (Bacillus thuringiensis 2ml/l), T7 (Spinosad 0.3 ml/l) and T8 (Control). Among the treatments the lowest aphid population recorded in the T7 (Spinosad) (3.06) followed by T4 (Emamectin benzoate) (3.73) and also reveals that T7 (Spinosad) showed the highest reduction of the aphid population (91.79%), followed by T4 (Emamectin benzoate) (90.01%) during Rabi 2022-23. Similarly, aphid population during 2023-24, revealed that the lowest aphid population recorded in the T7 (Spinosad) (2.86) followed by T4 (Emamectin benzoate) (3.46) and T7 (Spinosad) showed the highest reduction of the aphid population (90.53%), followed by T4 (Emamectin benzoate) (88.55%).
