Psychological and social consequences of work life conflict & social interventions for mental well being: A critical survey analysis
Abstract
Purpose: The issue of work-life conflict has continue to attract global attention. Modern trends like economic development, globalised influence and equal employment opportunities has led to an increasing concentration on the impact of work life issues on employees well being (Siti Aisyah Binti Patraic et al., 2011). The main intention of the present work is to know how far the demographics impact on the study of psychological and social consequences of work family conflict and the study also conducted to know psychological and social consequences of work life conflict. Further, the study also conducted to know social work interventions for mental well being. Design: A previously known questionnaire was administered as schedule in order to avoid delay, incompleteness, and reject. The study area being Peenya Industrial Area I & II of Bengaluru. A total of 55 questionnaires were on the hand and out of 55 questionnaires and 5 found to be rejected due to incomplete data. x2, contingency co-efficient, weighted Arithmetic means and ANOVA quantitative techniques were professional to analyse and present one data. Findings: The study found that all demographics varying with significant variation with high degree of relationship. The psychological and social consequence of work-life conflict includes increased storage, marital dissatisfaction and psychological problems. The social work interventions for mental health includes environment of the organisation, spouse support and supervisor support.
