Abstract

Lifestyle diseases are conditions that are mostly caused by a person's daily routine. Habits that discourage physical activity and encourage a sedentary lifestyle can result in a variety of health problems, including chronic non-communicable diseases that can be almost fatal. They cannot be passed from one individual to another. Instead, our lifestyle, genetics, and environment influence our vulnerability to many diseases. Non-communicable diseases and injuries account for 52% of deaths in India. It is anticipated that if the government does not take substantial action to prevent and control non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and associated risk factors, the burden of NCDs and the resulting mortality will rise. The evidence that is now available indicates that the leading causes of sickness, disability, and death in India are chronic obstructive and mental disorders, hypertension, cardiovascular illnesses, cancer, diabetes, lung disease, chronic renal disease, trauma, and stroke. When it comes to treating the illness and its repercussions, allopathic medications are not very effective. As a result, attention has shifted to the conventional medical system. An effort has been made in the current analysis to highlight the significant role that medicinal plants play in the treatment of a variety of lifestyle disorders along with selection of some target receptor for screening of phytoceuticals for such lifestyle disorder.
