Evaluating the role of recreational and lead-up activities in promoting physical and developmental growth among school children

Abstract

This study evaluates how leisure and lead-up activities promote physical and developmental growth in F. Structured play and prepared games are being implemented into school settings to assist holistic growth as the relevance of physical activity in early childhood development is recognized. This study examines how a planned leisure and lead-up intervention affects motor skills, coordination, social interaction, and physical fitness. A 9-12-year-old school sample was separated into control and experimental groups. The experimental group did a 12-week leisure and lead-up program, whereas the control group went to school without physical activity. Pre- and post-tests assessed agility, balance, collaboration, and communication gains. Children in the experimental group had significantly better physical and developmental factors than those in the control group. The results show that leisure and lead-up activities improve schoolchildren's physical fitness and development. This study recommends including such activities in school curricula to promote well-rounded child development.
