Incidence and Intensity of infestation by Columbicola columbae, Colpocephalum turbinatum, Companulotes bidentatus compare and Hohorstiella lata (Phthirapterans) on pigeons of Jaunpur District of Uttar Pradesh

Abstract

The present was carried out to document information incidence and intensity of infestation by Columbicola columbae, Colpocephalum turbinatum, Companulotes bidentatus compar and Hohorstiella lata are varies according to seasonal variation. Prevalence and intensity of infestation of phthirapterans lice reported higher in summer (June & July) and lowest in winter (December). Incidence and intensity of infestation of above phthirapterans lice are also depend upon feather condition, hygienic condition, age and breed of pigeon.
