Role of homoeopathy with moral remedies for menopausal transition: A holistic approach

International Journal of Homoeopathic Sciences · 2025 · Vol. 9(2) · pp. 528–532

Abstract

Menopause is a natural biological transition in a woman’s life, marked by the cessation of menstruation and a decline in reproductive hormones, primarily estrogen and progesterone. This phase often brings physical, emotional, and psychological challenges, including hot flashes, mood swings, anxiety, depression, and cognitive changes. Addressing these concerns requires a holistic approach. Psychotherapy, particularly Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based interventions, has proven effective in managing menopausal symptoms by helping women cope with mood disturbances, stress, and self-esteem issues. Supportive counseling and psychoeducation also play a crucial role in empowering women to navigate this transition with resilience. Homeopathic management offers an individualized and natural approach to symptom relief. Homeopathy aims to balance the body's vital energy and alleviate menopausal discomfort without significant side effects. Integrating psychotherapy and homeopathy can provide a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to menopause management, addressing both psychological and physiological symptoms. This multidisciplinary strategy enhances overall well-being, promoting a smoother transition through menopause while minimizing dependence on conventional hormone replacement therapies.
