Abstract

Introduction: Kidney disease during human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection is frequent and often silent. Objective: To study the factors associated with kidney disease (acute and chronic) in PLHIV at the CHD-Zou/Collines (Benin) in 2024. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study, conducted from 1 August to 30 November 2024, involving all PLHIV followed up in the medical department of the Zou/Collines departmental hospital (CHD) who had a creatinine level at least three months old, a recent CD4 count and viral load less than three months old, were able to answer the questions and had given informed consent.
