Challenges and advancements in stem cell therapy for regenerative medicine

International Journal of Bioscience and Biochemistry · 2025 · Vol. 7(1) · pp. 203–208

Abstract

Stem cell therapy plays a key role in regenerative medicine and could be effective in the treatment of different degenerative diseases and injuries. This review brings together recent information from different studies about stem cell therapy and points out the key developments, problems, and future possibilities of the therapy. It explains how USCs regenerate damaged tissues in oral and maxillofacial surgeries, the use of stem cells in emergency situations, and how various types of stem cells are put to use in the clinic. The review also talks about the difficulties that come with stem cell therapy, like concerns about ethics, keeping patients safe, and having agreed-upon ways of doing the therapy.
