Formulation and evaluation of an herbal hair serum containing natural ingredients
Abstract
The present study aimed to formulate and evaluate a herbal hair serum using natural ingredients known for their beneficial effects on hair health. The serum was developed using extracts of Amla (Emblica officinalis), Hibiscus (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis), Aloe vera, Bhringraj (Eclipta alba), and Flaxseed oil, among others. The formulation was prepared by cold blending method and subjected to various physicochemical evaluations, including pH, viscosity, spreadability, stability, and microbial load. The results indicated that the formulation had acceptable characteristics for topical application and demonstrated good stability. The study supports the potential of herbal ingredients in hair care product development.
