Abstract

Capsicum (Capsicum spp.), a vital horticultural crop, is cultivated globally for its economic, nutritional and culinary significance. However, its production is severely hampered by biotic and abiotic stresses, including pests, diseases and unfavourable climatic conditions. This article presents a comprehensive overview of advanced crop protection and management strategies designed to safeguard Capsicum yields. Emphasizing integrated pest management (IPM), precision agriculture, biotechnology and novel agronomic practices, the article integrates the latest research and field applications to offer actionable insights. A focus on sustainable and environmentally friendly approaches ensures the relevance of these techniques to both smallholder and commercial farming systems.
