A review on Gliricidia sepium: Its phytochemical, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties and applications
Abstract
The well-known leguminous agroforestry tree Gliricidia sepium (Jacq.) Walp belongs to Family Fabaceae offers several advantages in various agroecological zones. Its apparent adaptability is demonstrated by the way it reduces inflammation, cleans up environmental trash, and improves animal feed. It was also discovered to have important advantages in agroforestry because of its capacity to improve soil fertility by fixing nitrogen and producing green manure. This article, however, discusses the application of Gliricidia sepium to enhance crop agronomic and nutritional qualities, as well as soil fertility.
