International Journal of Advanced Biochemistry Research · 2025 · Vol. 9(5) · pp. 422–425

Abstract

A field experiment was conducted during zaid season of 2024-25 at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences to determine “Effect of Micronutrients and Plant Growth Regulator on growth and yield of Blackgram”. The treatments consisted of three micronutrients Zinc (20 kg/ha), Molybdenum (0.5 kg/ha), Boron (1.5 kg/ha) and three levels of Salicylic acid (50, 100, 150 ppm) along with recommended dose of fertilizer and a control (20-40-20 kg N-P-K/ha).The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design 10 treatments and replicated thrice. The result revealed that the significantly higher plant height (14.56 cm)was recorded in treatment 5[Molybdenum 0.5 kg/ha + SA 100 mg/litre (100 ppm)], higher nodules/plant (13.13)was recorded in treatment 7[Boron 1.5 kg/ha + SA 50 mg/litre (50 ppm)], higher branches/plant (6.53), higher plant dry weight (10.04 g), maximum number of pods/plant (26.2), maximum number of seeds/pod (7), were recorded in treatment 6 [Molybdenum 0.5 kg/ha + SA 150 mg/litre (150 ppm)].
