A quantitative evaluatory research approach was adopted in this study. The population of the study consisted of 60 posts operative pre-School children in the selected hospitals of Indore city. The investigator prepared a structured questionnaire containing 20 questions to assess the knowledge of post-operative pre-School children regarding the pain assessment. Five experts validate the tool &reliability of tool was good. Main study was conducted on 60 post-operative pre-School children OD selected urban areas of Indore city the duration of the study was month of Jan 2025. Based on the objectives and assumptions the data was analyzed and using various descriptive inferential test is (X2, Z test) test. Results: In the pre-test, 23 (38.3%) post-operative pre-School children had pain score 4-6 (moderate pain), 37 (61.7%) post-operative pre-School children had pain score 7-10 (severe pain), 0 (0.0%) post-operative pre-School children had pain score 0 (no pain) and 4-6 (mild discomfort). Then a rhymes video diversional therapy was given to these post-operative pre-School children and the same FLACC scale was re-administered. In the post-test, 13 (21.7%) post-operative pre-School children had pain score 4-6 (moderate pain), 0 (0.0%) post-operative pre-School children had pain score 7-10 (severe pain), 2 (3.3%) post-operative pre-School children had pain score 0 (no pain), 45 (75.0%) post-operative pre-School children had pain score 4-6 (mild discomfort). The pre pain score was 7.25±1.18, while the post-test knowledge score was 3.35±1.03. The difference was found to be statistically significant (‘z’ value=-22.81, DF=59, P value=<0.05, Significant), showing a significant change in pre and post-test pain score. Conclusion: Thus, after the analysis and interpretation of the data, we can conclude that the hypothesis H1 that “There will be significant difference between pre and post intervention rhymes video diversional therapy regarding pain assessment among post-operative pre-School children in paediatric surgical ward is being accepted. And the hypothesis H2 There will be significant difference the level of pain assessment scores after implementation of rhymes video diversional therapy regarding pain assessment among post-operative pre-School children in paediatric surgical ward with their selected demographic variables is being rejected. From the above results, we can conclude that there will be significant difference between pre and post intervention rhymes video diversional therapy regarding pain assessment among post-operative pre-School children in paediatric surgical ward.
