Abstract

Urinalysis remains a valuable, non-invasive diagnostic approach that offers critical insights into both health and disease. The term “uroscopy” is derived from the Greek words “ouron” (urine) and “skopeoa” (to observe or inspect), reflecting the ancient medical belief that urine served as a mirror to internal bodily states. While homeopathy primarily emphasizes the totality of symptoms in prescribing, observable characteristics of urine can serve as important corroborative clues. Accurate individualization of treatment a cornerstone of homeopathy is often debated due to its subjectivity. Traditionally guided by patients, subjective accounts, recent decades have seen increased attention on objective, mental, and physical signs to better match remedies to individual cases. Although this method is considered to improve precision in remedy selection, standardized tools to measure its effectiveness are lacking. This paper explores the relationship between abnormal urine findings and corresponding homoeopathic remedies, synthesizing insights from classical Materia Medica and current clinical observations. The objective is to align conventional pathological diagnostics with the individualized framework of homoeopathic prescribing, creating a balanced diagnostic-therapeutic model that values both subjective and objective aspects of patient care.
