Tinea corporis treated by individualized homoeopathy: A case report

Abstract

Tinea corporis is also known as ringworm is a superficial dermatophyte infection. It mostly affects the skin where there are folds e.g. Behind ear, thigh. It has a erythematous scaly plaque, circular patches, blackish discoloration of skin, itching and sometimes burning. Treatment of it is in modern medicine mainly antifungal and topical application which mainly suppresses the Tinea (resulting condition) which may occur again and again. In some cases, suppressed Tinea may lead to some systemic diseases. In homoeopathy we treat person as whole and we don’t treat the symptoms but we treat the whole individual who is suffering. In this case study on the basis of individualization and symptom similarity single remedy Natrum Muraticum was selected by using Kentian approach with synthesis repertory (8.1).
