Safety and efficacy of topical Dapsone 5% gel in the treatment of inflammatory acne vulgaris
Abstract
Acne vulgaris is a prevalent chronic inflammatory condition of the pilosebaceous unit, commonly affecting adolescents and increasingly adults, particularly women. This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of topical Dapsone 5% gel in treating inflammatory acne vulgaris. A clinical trial was conducted in the Department of Dermatology & Venereology, Mugda Medical College and Hospital, Dhaka, from April 2023 to April 2024, involving 60 patients diagnosed with acne vulgaris.
