Effect of integrated nutrient management and cultivars on growth and yield of different variety of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

Abstract

The experiment was carried out at the Agricultural Research Farm of National Post Graduate College Barhalganj, Gorakhpur, U.P. During rabi 2022-23. This experiment consisted of three different wheat variety PBW-373, PBW-343 and HD-2967 and 9 different treatments was laid out in Randomized Block Design with 3 replications. The study was assessed Integrated Nutrient Management with the application of plant nutrients through Urea, DAP, MOP and Vermicompost on yield and nutrient partitioning and accumulation in plant parts productivity, along with economics of wheat production. The results showed highest grain yield (66.89 q/ha), Straw yield (66.72 q/ha), Biological yield (133.61 q/ha) and Harvest index (50.06%) with the application of T8V3F2 (HD-2967, 80% RDN+20% N through vermicompost). The study revealed that soil enrichment with (HD-2967, 80% RDN+20% N through vermicompost) resulted in highest Net returns of Rs.86184.03 ha-1 and maximum B:C ratio (1.04).
