Effect of bio-fertilizers and gibberellic acid on growth and yield of green gram (Vigna radiata L.)
Abstract
A field experiment was conducted during Zaid season 2024 at Crop Research Farm, Department of Agronomy, Naini Agricultural Institute, Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Sciences and Technology. To determine “Effect of Bio-fertilizers and Gibberallic acid on growth and yield of green gram (Vigna radiata L.)”. The result revealed that treatment 9 Rhizobium + PSB + Gibberellic acid 150 ppm recorded significantly taller plant height (45.1 cm), maximum number of nodules/plant (21.6), higher plant dry weight (30.92 g), maximum number of pods/plant (22.90), maximum number of seeds/pod (10.00), higher test weight (25.27 g), higher seed yield (1366.20 kg/ha), higher stover yield (3614.40 kg/ha) and higher harvest index (27.43%). maximum gross return (82,143.51 INR/ha), net return (47,943.51 INR/ha) and B:C ratio (1.40) was recorded in treatment 9 [Rhizobium + PSB + Gibberellic acid 150 ppm] was found to be productive as well as economically feasible.
