Homoeopathy and nutrition: Understanding their interrelationship

International Journal of Homoeopathic Sciences · 2025 · Vol. 9(2) · pp. 04–05

Abstract

Homoeopathy and nutrition have a close interrelationship when health and healing are concerned. Homeopathy is concerned with the treatment of diseases by individualized medicines, whereas nutrition is responsible for overall well-being. Some foods can potentiate or antagonize the action of homoeopathic medicines, which may affect their efficacy. This paper discusses what Hahnemann stated regarding food in homoeopathy, how diet affects remedies, and why certain medicines experience aggravation or relief when taken with particular foods. Being aware of the connection can facilitate better treatment and patient care.
