Abscess ın the gluteal region after ınjection ınto the buttock region: A case report and review of literature
International Journal of Orthopaedics Sciences · 2025 · Vol. 11(1) · pp. 182–184
Abstract
Intramuscular injections, while effective, can lead to complications such as gluteal abscesses. This case study discusses a 50-year-old diabetic patient who developed an abscess following an injection. Diagnosis and treatment through surgical drainage and antibiotics were essential for recovery. Early intervention is crucial to prevent further complications.
