The effect of an educational curriculum using the integration of friendly competitions between the normal and people with disabilities in learning basic football skills

Abstract

The research seeks to develop an educational program that incorporates friendly competitions between able-bodied and impaired individuals to teach fundamental football skills. The researchers posited that statistically significant variations exist between the pre- and post-tests of the selected sample to ascertain the effect. The research cohort comprised 30 individuals with mild intellectual disabilities, of whom 6 were excluded for not participating in the curriculum during the ages of 10-12 years. The researchers employed an experimental methodology deemed suitable for addressing the research problem and attaining its objectives. The conclusion is that the educational curriculum, which incorporates friendly competitions between able-bodied and impaired individuals, favourably influenced post-test results in enhancing football skill performance. The educational curriculum and its application positively influenced the development of the targeted skills; however, the primary recommendations of the research emphasise the necessity of implementing a curriculum that incorporates various engaging competitions and the potential to devise suitable educational strategies based on participants' readiness and available resources. Design and implement educational programs based on scientific research to enhance the abilities of individuals with disabilities.
