Healing hair naturally: A focus on herbal treatment for hair disorders

Abstract

Hair problems like alopecia, dandruff, premature greying, and scalp infections affect all ages, impacting confidence. Factors like diet, environment, and hair treatments such as dyeing and straightening can worsen these issues. While many turn to allopathic treatments or transplants, their side effects have increased interest in herbal remedies. Scalp irritation and dandruff can be effectively soothed with Aloe vera, known for its moisturizing and anti-inflammatory benefits. For hair growth and prevention of early greying, Bhringraj is a popular choice. Scalp infections are addressed by Neem and Tea tree oil used to treat scalp fungal infections. To strengthen hair roots and promote healthy growth, Amla is beneficial and Hibiscus enhances thickness and shine, contributing to overall hair vitality.Integrating herbal treatments into mainstream hair care combines tradition with modern science, promising innovative solutions for hair disorders. This review highlights potential herbs for hair health, paving the way for natural, effective, and confidence-boosting alternatives.
