International Journal of Advanced Academic Studies · 2025 · Vol. 7(3) · pp. 134–136

Abstract

The aim of this research was to examine the relationship between selected psychological attributes and skill performance in state-level badminton players. The study focused on confidence, consistency, and control as psychological dimensions and smash accuracy, drop shot precision, and footwork speed as performance measures. Data were collected from 30 male and female state-level badminton players. The results indicated a positive correlation between confidence and smash accuracy, as well as between consistency and footwork speed. The study suggests that psychological preparedness significantly influences skill execution in badminton. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the importance of developing mental toughness in athletes to enhance their overall performance.
