Desmoid tumor of the neck causing torticollis: A unique case

Abstract

Desmoid tumors in the head and neck region present unique challenges compared to those in the abdominal wall or extremities. Due to the complex anatomy of the neck, these aggressive, infiltrative lesions can encroach upon vital structures, making surgical removal with a sufficient margin of normal tissue difficult. Here, we report a case of a 2-year-old boy with a neck mass mimicking a pseudotumor with torticollis. This rare presentation posed a significant management challenge, highlighting the importance of accurate diagnosis and tailored surgical intervention.
