Assessment of heavy metals in River Krishna, district Shamli

Abstract

Water is Earth's main natural solvent. Pure water is essential to all living things, including human beings; if it is damaged, it will be harmful to all living things because many illnesses, such as cholera, dysentery, typhoid, etc., are spread via water. Contaminated water contains a variety of components, including heavy metals like iron, copper, and zinc. A number of them are harmful for human beings if they are found in water in quantities higher than standard values. The current study looks at heavy metals in the water of the Krishna River in the Shamli district from a basic perspective. Present survey indicates that heavy metals are present in the Krishna River's water because municipal connections also discharge waste water into the Krishna River, it also receives waste water from a variety of small and large Industries.
