Entero-pathogenic Staphylococcus Aureus induced histochemistry of solitary lymphatic nodule and large intestine in porcine

Abstract

Present study was designed with three piglets in each sub-group out of 12 (twelve) irrespective of sex and breed. The piglets were induced in the colon and rectum with Fluorescent labelled Staphylococcus Aureus as antigen at a dose of 1 × 108cfu/ml for duration of 6hrs, 12hrs and 18hrs respectively. The intensity of intestinal alkaline phosphatase with the duration of Staphylococcus Aureus exposure (Infection) was increased from non-treatment group to 12 hours of antigenic infection and the intensity of intestinal alkaline phosphatise reduced in 18 hours of antigenic infection. Specific acid phosphatase activity was not appreciated in the lymphoid tissue including the germinal centre of secondary lymphoid follicle.
