Effect of biochemical constituent of various varieties of Morus leaves fed by silkworm at silk reeling of (Bombyx mori Linn.)
Abstract
Mulberry plant is the only meals of silkworm, Bombyx mori as it's far a monophagous insect which belong to order Lepidoptera. The first class/tender and delicate of mulberry leaves ought to be the main attention of silkworm rearers, because after feeding nice mulberry (Morus) fresh leaves, the healthy boom of larva happens and subsequently ends in the formation of fine cocoon crop of silkworms. The mulberry types vary inside the biochemical constitution of leaves viz., proteins, carbohydrates, Carotenoid, lipids, amino acids, ascorbic acid and many others which are wanted for the right increase and improvement of silkworms, therefore the choice of great of mulberry plant life is of prime importance to yield maximum benefits of sericulture industry or rearers kinds of mulberry have been in comparison to examine their influence on increase improvement and silk generating capacity of silkworm (Bombyx mori) underneath laboratory conditions. The existing studies, hence found out that larval performance, pupal performance, fecundity (eggs laying), and cocoon productiveness is faster on Cultivars section-1 (S-36, S-54 & S-146) is high preference to Cultivars section-2 (S-1, S-13 & S-34). Quick growth and better health of silkworms fed on distinct mulberry cultivars (Cultivated varieties) also found out that Cultivars section-1 (S-36, S-54 and S-146) had been the favored Morus leaves meals hosts for mulberry silkworm throughout rearing of silkworm larvae by rearers.
