Skin expresses the mind: Lichen planus treated with homeopathy: A case report

Abstract

Lichen planes is an inflammatory condition of unknown etiology, main affected areas are skin and mucus membranes. It represents as violaceous papules and plaques. Common locations are wrist, lower back and ankles. The most common treatment for lichen planus is super potent topical steroids. As Homoeopathy is curative system of medical branch in which the patient is treated as a whole (physical as well as mental symptoms). As per Hahnemann in aphorism no 225 skin complaints is the outwards reflection of the internal disease. This case shows the effectiveness of homeopathy in Skin problems affected by Being insult raised emotional factors like anger, stress and other psychological issues that can arise when person have skin conditions. A 52 yrs old female patient comes in O.P.D with intense itching in her groin region with bluish blackish elevated eruptions since 8 months which were caused by getting insult by in laws. After case taking with totality of symptoms and evaluation of the case, the similimun remedy staphysagria was prescribed and after 6moths of observation patient gets relief in her all symptoms.
