Economics of rearing growing male Murrah buffalo calves fed on different straw based total mixed ration with fibrolytic enzymes

Abstract
The current experiment was carried out to investigate cost of feed per kilogram body weight gain of growing Murrah buffalo calves' and the use of non-leguminous and leguminous straw-based total mixed ration supplemented with fibrolytic enzymes. The economic analysis revealed that the calves reared under T2, (TMR prepared with wheat straw and enzymes) T3, (TMR- gram straw without enzymes) and T4, (TMR-gram straw and enzymes) proved to be more cost-effective in terms of body weight gain as compared to T1 (TMR- wheat straw without enzymes).
