Asian Journal of Management and Commerce · 2025 · Vol. 6(1) · pp. 215–226

Abstract

A systematic review of construction management of offshore petroleum projects is carried out to know the major factors, challenges and risks encountered in execution of these projects, which are responsible for the success and failure of such projects, and different strategies available in literature to manage those factors and challenges. In this study, more than 55 important research papers on the subject from across the globe, 5 books, 3 reports, 10 websites were reviewed to present the findings through thematic analysis. This study will help to find the gap if any in the literature and can help in further developing the literature on the subject in Indian offshore context which has potential oil and gas reserves to meet the demand through national resources exploitation and can lower the import bill of India for oil and gas.
