Effect of using network training method to improve some physical abilities of young football players

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the impact of a proposed training curriculum to develop physical abilities represented by transitional speed, speed endurance, legs power, legs explosive force, and agility in the training network method, which refers to a set of geometric shapes such as the square and different measurements during which the players perform a variety of forms of exercises according to the objective of the training session. The experimental approach was used by two homogeneous control and experimental groups, the sample was represented by football players for the youth category under (19) years old, numbering (32) players, they were divided to two groups, one of them is an experimental and other a control by (16) players for each group, included (40) training sessions, with implementation period of (8) weeks by (5) training sessions per week in the period of special preparation, the dimensional results showed the evolution of the explosive power of the control group, while the experimental group showed development in all variables. The researcher recommends using the outputs of the study in developing physical abilities in football for young people in the period of special preparation.
